Our Investment in Pocket
Pocket is building the AI front-office for rehab therapy clinics.

Front-office Workflows are Fragmented
Rehab therapy is a massive, but underserved market still running on manual workflows, phone calls, and fragmented systems. Critical functions, from insurance verification to patient communications, are time-intensive and operationally complex.
Insurance verification is especially painful. Coverage depends on therapy-specific rules like visit limits, authorization requirements, and other payer policies that may be inconsistent across sources. As a result, clinics spend significant time piecing together information just to determine whether a patient can be seen and reimbursed.
Enter Pocket
Pocket is replacing broken infrastructure with vertically integrated AI.
Rather than layering automation onto existing tools, Pocket is rethinking how front-office workflows are executed. The platform handles core workflows like insurance verification, patient communication, and scheduling, resulting in a reduction in manual work while improving speed and accuracy. The result: patients getting the care they need.
Over time, each interaction generates structured data. As Pocket verifies coverage and interfaces with payers, it builds a continuously updated system of record for payer policies that captures visit limits, authorization requirements, and reimbursement rules across clinics. This data compounds over time, enabling better automation, faster verification, and a fundamentally improved front-office workflow.
This is just the beginning. Pocket’s broader vision is to become an integrated front-office system that owns the full patient coordination layer, expanding into adjacent workflows like payments, ultimately becoming core infrastructure for how rehab therapy clinics operate.
The World-Class Team
Hannah is one of the smartest, most capable, and most driven operators we have met. She has a strong track record of execution. Prior to Pocket, she was Chief of Staff at Clipboard Health, where she helped scale the company, led operations teams, and worked closely with healthcare front-office staff.
Ben complements her with deep technical expertise and exceptional speed. Before founding Pocket, he held engineering roles at early-stage AI companies, where he helped build and scale machine learning products and core platform infrastructure. Hannah and Ben have seen the operational bottlenecks that clinics face from multiple perspectives. As a runner and Olympic weightlifter respectively, they have also been PT patients themselves.
2048 x Pocket
At 2048 Ventures, we’re bullish on vertical AI companies that reinvent core workflows while capturing proprietary data.
We see Pocket as foundational infrastructure for rehab therapy clinics. Over time, Pocket becomes the single source of truth for front-office workflows—from insurance verification and scheduling to every patient communication and preference, all in one place.
We’re thrilled to lead Pocket’s $1.35M pre-seed round alongside our friends at MGV, Underdog Labs and the founder of Clipboard Health.
